I'm looking for a little help here from Magazine users.
I'm using Magazine now to organise my site and not just as an online magazine.
The only way to use a menu item to link to a magazine or an issue is to use a url link.
The problem with this is that it doesn't put the menu item into an 'active' status and is therefore not at all good from a useability point of view.
Is there anyway around this problem ?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Hi Ricardo,
Thanks for the reply but, yes, I am sure... from the way that I am working.
Maybe I am doing it wrong and I would be very interested in what these guys methodology was to get that working.
Is it a template issue ?
I've tried RocketThemes, YooTheme and Joomla Shack.
None of them leave the menu in an 'active' state when linked to magazines or their issues.
Maybe it;s a core Joomla thing I'm doing wrong though.
As far as I can see, the only way to add a menu link to a magazine or an issue of a magazine is to add a link to a url in a Joomla menu.

I had a look through the old forum and there's a thread on this issue here;
http://tinyurl.com/3x6wx2
Someone comes up with a hack involving jos_menu which I tried but it doesn't seem to work, probably because of new versions of Joomla and Magazine.
Looking at a few of the websites of the users asking the questions it looks like they got it fixed, I wonder what the solution was.
