Hello, I want to use joomlaworks.gr frontpage slideshow with my news_portal. My problem is that I don't know where to begin to get this thing to work.

I use teline from joomlart.com as the template and ijoomla news_portal.
My site sulkesligaen.net

1-Publish your FPSS in your user1 (or another position).
2-Go to Zones and edit Module Position #1 and there select your user1 position.
3-Save the changes and check the results.
Maybe you need to modify your iJoomla News Portal“s layout.
Let me know if you have any doubts.
Best regards,

1-Publish your FPSS in your user1 (or another position).
2-Go to Zones and edit Module Position #1 and there select your user1 position.
3-Save the changes and check the results.

This results in the module being published in two places, the user1 position, and the module_position1 which is in the mainbody of the frontpage.

How do you stop the user1 version from being displayed ?

Go to the site admin and under site there is template manager.  From there select the module positions and create a new module position whatever you want, (for example FPSS).  Then you can go to the module_position1 in the news portal and select the FPSS or whatever you called.  This will have it displayed only once.

The problem with using user1 as the position is that your template most likely will use that position so therefore the newsportal will use the user1 postion along with your template.

Good luck.
